thank you tumblr for recommending this blog to me.
I don’t know why anyone has such a bad opinion about russia. it’s not like that you would be beaten up/murdered there for being homosexual, or that you can’t share your political opinion without getting murdered or jailed for it. It’s a miracle why the worldpress doesn’t tell us about the truth. Russia is one of the last countries with freedom of speech and press.
I have enough of this false world. I will move to northkorea… at least they found unicorns there, this has to be the happiest place in the world!!!!!!

Sarcasm noted and greatly appreciated!

Toad Purses and Bags

KOBJA is a unique collection of fashion accessories for men and women, created and developed by Monika Jarosz.

It took many months of research, fine-tuning and testing to “give birth” to her first collection of KOBJA accessories. Monika only works with complete toad skins*, which, once recovered, are tanned and transformed by taxidermists, using a unique, detailed process. It takes more than 14 stages to obtain a high quality leather! The colours of the leather are produced at the tawery in Millau, while the assembly and fine stitching work are done at KOBJA’s Parisian workshop, a process which makes each piece totally unique.

* Non-protected species, which was introduced into Oceania from South America. This highly poisonous toad is in the process of destroying several local species, and since these problems began to occur, animal defence associations have recommended its selective elimination. In this way, each toad skin is recycled, not destroyed.

new design for blood bags,

with some smart fixes, such as better labelling of blood types with colors, shape design that allows the blood packs to be stacked, as well as a groove niche that lets blood tubes be wrapped around the pack while still leaving space for clear visibility of the labeling. The bag also has an attached sensor, ensuring that the blood packs don’t fall below optimum temperature.

In The Not So Distant Future, Glow-In-The-Dark Trees Could Replace Street Lights

Is that… is that even healthy?

There are sea organisms and fungi which glow in the dark and there’s fireflies and jellyfish which glow in the dark. It doesn’t do them any harm nor does it do the people around them any harm. I would say its pretty healthy, as well as it would mean more photosynthesis happening in cities which mean cleaner air.

I was just curious about how they were doing it and for some reason I didn’t think to click the link. But thanks! It makes more sense now. I was afraid it was some kind of chemical thing.

nah just genetic modification using existing bioluminescent genes. Genetics is really cool, and so is bioluminescence. I mean they’ve already made pigs glow using jellyfish genes and pigs are waaay more complicated than trees iirc. So they’re actually (i think) less likely to muck it up with trees.

In which case

I WANT TO DO WITCHCRAFT AT NIGHT IN A GROVE OF GLOWING TREES

….I think we’ve found like, the ONE THING that would turn me into a forest witch…or a witch willing to leave the house at all, really.
